Hi guys. It's YoshiWii1 with another action figure review and today I am gonna be reviewing the S.H. Figuarts Sailor Moon Usagi with Luna. A few months ago, I accidentally bought a bootleg copy of this figure. Luckily I got a refund and I bought the real thing on Amazon. The quality control on the authentic one is night and day! The shoulders are white like they should be. The limbs weren't loose like they were on the fake one. The Red is the same shade on all of the figure while it was variants of red on the fake one. And both pigtails are pointed at the end while the fake one had a round end of the pigtail. Also the paint on the back of Luna's head had a nasty paint scratch. While the paint was flawless on this one.
Usagi as we all know was a overly sensitive, school girl who was often late for school and got bad grades on her tests. But one day, when she was running late for school. She ran into a group of younger boys abusing a black cat. She took the bandage from it's forehead revealing a crescent moon symbol. Later on from school, the cat visits Usagi in her bedroom telling her that Tokyo is in trouble and that she needed to transform into the Pretty Guardian known as Sailor Moon. Luna tells Usagi that she is the magical solider to fight for peace along with the other Sailor Soldiers she encounters later on. At first, she lacked confidence and often found herself to be the damsel in distress who often needed to be rescued by the mysterious Tuxedo Mask whom she develops a crush on. Since then, she has matured and became more confident.
Paint Job 10/10. Oh my god! Words cannot describe how beautifully painted this figure is! She looked as if she walked out of the anime. The anatomy, the face, the pigtails and everything is 100% accurate to her anime counterpart. Luna looks amazing as well!
Durability 10/10. For a thin action figure like this? It has very strong durability. The ball joints although tiny are very strong. And hold her limbs in a pose firmly. This is something to expect from Bandai and Tamashii Nations. Square-Enix could use a few pointers from Tamashii Nations since their Play Arts Kai figures are quite fragile.
Fun Factor 10/10. The box is beautiful and colorful. It comes with many different hands, face expressions including Usagi's winking and crying face, her Moon Tiara Action toss and her Magic Brooch. I wanted to pose her in a cute and way that would really make her shine! So I went with her trademark pose.
All I got to say is. This figure is a MUST HAVE for any anime fan period. Even if your not the biggest Sailor Moon fan? You should still get it. Because Usagi is one of the most iconic faces of anime in general! I give this figure an 10/10 overall. Best Sailor Moon figure ever made period!
